Former National Football League player Antonio Brown is returning to Miami to address an attempted murder charge related to a incident that occurred in May, as his counsel submitting a not guilty response on his behalf.

Correctional records in Essex, New Jersey, indicate that Brown was freed on Tuesday early for his relocation to the state of Florida. Brown, among the most famous athletes in the National Football League, had relinquished transfer to Florida from New Jersey, where he was held after being taken into custody in Dubai.

Brown’s counsel, Mark Eiglarsh, said in an communication that he has already lodged a written innocent plea to the murder attempt charge. Brown could be in a Miami court as early as Wednesday early for a bail hearing, Eiglarsh stated.

Brown was not right away arrested because originally police did not consider Nantambu as a target. It only subsequently in May that Nantambu gave a full statement about the incident to police and identified Brown as the shooter, the affidavit indicates.
